We are planning our vacation to Disneyland for August 2018. We will be purchasing a 5 day ticket for each member of our family. Do we need to use all 5 days consecutively - or can we go 3 days, take a break for 2 and then use our remaining 2 day tickets?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Samantha!

I am so excited that you are planning ahead for your August 2018 vacation to the Disneyland Resort! Five days is my ideal amount of time to spend in the parks and I think your plan of splitting your park time over the course of a week sounds wonderful. You do not need to use your theme park tickets on consecutive days. Just keep in mind that your tickets expire 13 days after the first use, so make sure to use your fifth day within that 13-day time frame.

I absolutely recommend that you purchase Park Hopper tickets for your five day adventure. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are literally right across from each other so it is incredibly easy to hop between the parks. Park Hopper tickets allow for maximum flexibility of your touring plans which makes vacationing even more relaxing. Also, if your family enjoys thrill rides and if it is within budget, adding Disney MaxPass to your tickets will be some of the best money you can spend at the Disneyland Resort. Disney MaxPass allows you to select FASTPASSES from anywhere in the parks using the Disneyland app on your mobile device. You can make FASTPASS selections for your whole family without walking to a distribution kiosk. It is such a time saver! Plus, you also receive downloads of all your PhotoPass photos when you use MaxPass.

Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions. I would love to help you continue to plan your magical vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!
