We are planning on using Ride Switch pass on Space Mountain. I'm hearing conflicting info regarding the line. Some say with a ride switch pass, we get to use the Fast Pass line. If this is true, I do not need a Fast Pass for Space Mountain?

    Hi Autumn!
You've got a great question and you've come to the right place for an answer! I'm a Central Florida resident and have been bringing my children to the Walt Disney World Resort practically since they were born. The Rider Switch service has been a great way for us to ensure everyone gets to enjoy their favorite attractions on many occasions.

Here's how the Rider Switch Service works: visit the Cast Member working the entrance to the FastPass+ queue at Space Mountain (or any other attraction that participates in the Rider Switch Service). I would suggest bringing the member of your party that has chosen not to ride the attraction, as they usually ask to see the person that is not riding. You will receive a Rider Switch Pass from the Cast Member. From here, your party splits into two groups.  Group 1 waits in the appropriate line for the attraction (standby line or FastPass+ line if that attraction is one of your FastPass+ selections) and completes the attraction while Group 2 waits with the non-rider. Group 1 locates Group 2 as they exit the attraction and the non-rider switches and waits with Group 1.  Group 2 waits in the FastPass+ line and completes the attraction.  Rider Switch is now complete! That said, Space Mountain is usually a very busy attraction and I would recommend utilizing Disney's FastPass+ service to ensure a shorter wait time for Group 1 of your Rider Switch.

I hope this answers your question. Come back and see us here at the Moms Panel if you have any more questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
