We are planning on using Express Walk-Off on the last day of the cruise & have a reservation with Magic Express to take us to the Polynesian Resort at WDW. How early can we plan on being at Magic Kingdom the same day? Any tips on this?

    Ahoy Lori –
With a fabulous trip to the Polynesian after a relaxing Disney Cruise, your pirate crew definitely knows how to have a wonderful vacation, Lori! I just love pairing a stay at the hotels of the Walt Disney World Resort after a luxurious visit on Disney Cruise Line, and I just know you will have an amazing time. Express Walk-Off is a great option for guests who want to debark the ship quickly and start their vacation! If you choose this option, you will not leave your luggage outside of your stateroom door the night before debarkation, but you will actually carry it off the ship and proceed directly to U.S. Customs. On my cruise on the Fantasy last month, Express Walk-Off guests were asked to meet at the Lobby Atrium, Deck 3 Midship at 7:15AM until the ship was cleared by authorities. Transfers to the Orlando Airport were continuously running from that point on. What was different on this cruise for us was a note that all guests with transfers to the Walt Disney World Resort hotels were instructed to debark the ship no later than 8:15AM because the motor coach departed promptly at 9:00AM. When I sailed a few months ago, the transfers to the resort were continuous but now they are scheduled to leave at a certain time, so even if you do Express Walk-Off you may not get to the Polynesian any earlier since the bus leaves at a set time. If your motor coach leaves on time, you can expect to arrive around 10:30AM to your resort and the Magic Kingdom is a short monorail ride away after check-in. I noticed that the departure times are strictly enforced. We were on our way to the Beach Club Resort, and a family who was headed to Saratoga Springs Resort was placed on our bus because they had missed their motor coach.  Needless to say, that late family had a stressful transition to their hotel resort! Lori, I hope this helps with planning, but if you need more assistance, please let us know!
