Hi :-) Planning our upcoming trip and was looking at Teppan Edo or Tokyo Dining for dinner. Can you tell me the difference? Do they both cook in front of you like a traditional Japan steakhouse? Which do you recommend? Thank you so much!

    Hi Jenifer,

Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining are both located in Japan in Epcot, they're actually right next to each other. They have very similar food and you can see the menus by visiting www.allears.net and looking in the dining section. The main difference does seem to be that at Teppan Edo the chef cooks the food infront of you on a big hot plate, you are seated at tables of 8 and if your party is too small you will be joined by other guests. Whereas at Tokyo Dining the food is cooked in a kitchen and you get 1 table per party. In my opinion Teppan Edo seems a more relaxed restaurant than Tokyo Dining. You can see a photo of each restaurant and some information about them by clicking these links Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining.

I haven't eaten at Tokyo Dining but Teppan Edo is one of my favourite restaurants in the whole of Walt Disney World. Not only is the food delicious but my children love to see the chef cooking their food, it's almost like a dinner show!

Whichever you decide upon I'm sure you'll have a delicious meal, they are both popular restaurants so as soon as you've decided be sure to make reservations by calling 407-939-3463 up to 90 days in advance.
