We are planning a trip for our 4 year old daughter (and us!!) in March. Where should we stay (on or off Disney property)? Is the value resorts as neat in person as they are online? Any shows we just shouldn't miss? Thanks!!

    Hi Maria!

YES! YES! YES! I am a convert to staying on Disney property. For many years, our family stayed offsite at a timeshare only 1 mile from Downtown Disney. Accommodations here were very low-cost since family members are owners. Then, due to a scheduling conflict, we decide to stay at a Disney resort for a few nights -- and we've never looked back since!!

All of the Disney resorts, from values to deluxes, have that distinct Disney magic. You'll be immersed in it the moment you check in! There are also numerous benefits that only Disney resort guests can enjoy. Two of the most beneficial are Magical Express, which provides free round trip transportation to and from the Orlando Airport, and Extra Magic Hours, which provide resort guests extra hours in theme parks.

Our family has stayed at both the All Stars and Pop Century. Even though we aren't huge sports nuts, we especially enjoyed All Star Sports (and the Goofy baseball pool!).

As for shows, there are quite a few great shows at Walt Disney World and our favorite is the Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom. Fellow Moms Panelist Erin had a great answer on shows that might be of interest to you as well.
