Planning 1st trip for my 6 year old daughter and don't know where to start. Is a Disney package the deal to get or purchase all things separately? Do you suggest staying at a Disney resort and which one? I would love all all inclusive package.

Hi, Trish! Congratulations on taking your daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time! May it be the first of many trips!  It can be overwhelming when you start to look at all the options available for your trip, but let's start with what I consider the easiest decision.  My family and I have stayed both on- and off-site.  Especially for a first trip, staying on-site keeps the Magic going around the clock.  You don't ever feel like you are leaving the fun.  There are other reasons, too.  We LOVE Extra Magic Hours that are only available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests! It is a way to stretch your adventure time in the parks.  There's also great transportation on-site (even to and from Orlando International Airport, if you're flying), and it gives you the option to book a package, which is my next easiest decision. I find it so easy to book everything in one place.  The only exception I ever make is if I find a "can't-miss" airfare on my own, but even then it's very easy to give your flight information to the Magical Express for pick-up and return from the airport.  Deciding whether or not to include a Disney Dining Plan is next.  I need to know a little more about what kinds of meals you would like to experience to know which Dining Plan to recommend to you.  I also need to know your expectations of your Resort to know whether Value, Moderate, or Deluxe is the right fit for you.  Some folks only sleep at the Resorts while in Disney; others make it their "base camp" with short excursions into the parks.  I have recommendations in each category once I know your preferences.  Wow! That is a lot of information in a little space, and I still didn't answer all your questions.  Write back to me with Dining and Resort details, and I can help you with those decisions, too.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
