Planning a trip to WDW for my sons 16th Birthday on April 4,2015- April 11th .Wondering what the weather is like that time of year and also crowd level.

    Hi Lisa,

The Walt Disney World Resorts are lovely in April. The weather is just getting warm and the humidity is not at full force at this time. Shorts are fine for the day and you may want a sweatshirt or light coat for the air conditioned restaurants or the evenings. Ponchos and/or umbrella are handy for that passing shower but they are not daily.

The week you are traveling is during Easter and Passover. This means vacation for families. While the crowds will be heavier than other weeks in April, you will not see the same level as the week after Christmas. It will be busiest the few days prior to the weekend through the Tuesday after Easter Sunday as most schools give shorter vacations.

I recommend making Advance Dining Reservations and your FastPass+ when they are bookable. This will help minimize your wait and maximize your fun.

Wishing your son a magical birthday!
