We are planning a trip to WDW Nov 7 - 12. A few questions. How are crowds at Disney during the International Food &Wine Fest? Does "Jersey Week" affect the crowd level at this time? Any word on what might be open in Fantasyland by then? Th

Hi, Clint!  Let's tackle the questions one at a time.

Crowds can be quite healthy during the International Food and Wine festival at EPCOT - especially on the weekends, when locals are more likely to come in and check it out.  You won't notice it quite as much at the attractions, but you'll see lines at some of the food kiosks that will make you wish there was a Fast Pass!  I also think crowds at the beginning of the festival tend to be a little larger than towards the end, so you might not really be too terribly impacted.

As someone from New Jersey, I can assure you that the state doesn't empty out during "Jersey Week".  If they did, I'd get much better parking at the mall during that week!  Some of us still stay put in the Garden State, no matter how enticing a Walt Disney World vacation is.  Not all of the schools here get the days off for the teachers' convention, so it's not really a good time to take kids on vacation.  I think you might notice more New Jerseyans down there during Jersey week (although, contrary to popular opinion, most of us blend in with the regular people, as we lack spray tans or big hair), but the crowds are still pretty manageable.

The Fantasyland expansion timeline could change at any time, but by the end of 2012, you may be able to enjoy some of the new attractions!

I hope you get to enjoy a wonderful vacation!  It's a great time of year to be at Walt Disney World!
