We are planning a trip to WDW and may be the only time we will be able to go. Our children will be 7 (son) and 9(daughter). I want them to enjoy and remember the trip- do you have suggestions about ages? Or a way to not over exhaust children?

    Hi Michelle,

I know you must be excited for your first trip to Walt Disney World and want to plan the perfect vacation for your family.  My children still remember their trips; even the ones they took when they were little. Your Disney memories will last a lifetime.  I think that the attractions at the theme parks are fun for kids of all ages.  You can review the list to see what might appeal specifically to your children's interests. There is something for Pirates and Princesses alike.

I have learned over the years that it's very easy to exhaust your children on a Walt Disney World vacation. There is so much to see and do and you want to cram every day full of activities, but it will take its toll.  My best suggestion is to take a break every afternoon.  Go back to your hotel; nap, swim or relax.  After your break, hit the parks again.  Your family will have renewed energy and you can really enjoy the rest of your day without everyone being a cranky mess.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel.  It was my pleasure to answer your question.  I hope you have a wonderful vacation full of magical memories.
