Planning a trip to WDW for May 2014, when the new wireless wristband ticketing system will be in place. I'm wondering if they will have an option for people unable to wear the devices? My child has sensory issues & there's no way we'll get her to wear

    Hi Julia!

There is a lot of excitement in the air about MyMagic+ at Disney World. Its still in the testing phase and while there is no official date, its planned to be available sometime this year.  If all goes according to plan, it should be available for your trip in May 2014.

I am sure the MagicBand will be a super popular part of MyMagic+.  The Disney Parks Blog featured an article by Tom Staggs earlier this year talking about MyMagic+ which will give Guests opportunities to customize their trips. According to one of the responses in the article by Mr. Staggs, Guests will have the option to receive a ticket instead of the MagicBand that will include the same features.

Keep in mind that Guests won't be required to wear them on their wrists.  You could snap them on the handle of your purse, belt or other item. Just make sure you keep them in a safe place. While she may not want to wear it on her wrist, she may enjoy having one to keep as a souvenEAR.

I am very excited about MyMagic+ and can't wait! Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for official announcements.
