We are planning a trip to WDW in May 2017. This is the first time traveling in a group of 6. Is it better to buy our tickets separately so that we can reserve our fast passes separately? would it be easier to get fast passes in groups of three?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica!

Wow! Planning a trip to Walt Disney World is always special, but planning a trip for a party of six is even better!

I would suggest that you purchase your tickets whichever way is most comfortable for those of you in your group. Once you purchase them, you have some options regarding setting up your FastPass+ plans, so decide what's best everyone and proceed accordingly.

Be sure that everyone in your group has set up a My Disney Experience account, then download the super-helpful--and free--My Disney Experience mobile app. Once that's done, each person can link his or her park ticket to his or her own account or you can manage them for the entire group, if that seems easier for you.

When I travel to WDW with multiple adults, I'll connect with them via our Family & Friends Lists in My Disney Experience. This enables us to view each others' plans, making changes and checking reminders as needed. One person can make all of the FastPass+ arrangements for the whole group, if you select that option. If, however, you'd like everyone to make FastPass+ plans on their own, you can see those plans if you select that option in MDE, too.

I like to make all of our group's plans, as I find it easier to coordinate FP+ plans at one time. The most important thing to remember is to have all tickets linked, and Family & Friend invitations sent and accepted well in advance of your FastPass+ window opening. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, that window is 60 days prior to arrival; other guests may make these plans 30 days in advance.

Have so much fun planning! Send more questions, too; we love to help!
