Hi- We are planning a trip to WDW in late August 2013. My brother is a DVC member and is getting our rooms for us at Old Key West Resort. If Disney offers free dining that time of year (I know we won't know til later) are DVC members eligible for the promo

    Hi Lynn,

Thank you so much for your question.  I am so glad that you are able to stay at Old Key West Resort.  The rooms are very large and have been recently remodeled.  You will love the pool area, and the grounds are just lovely to walk around.  Disney Vacation Club Members are not eligible for the free dining promotion if the villas was booked with points which I am assuming that your brother did just that.  You will only be able to have free dining if you paid cash for the rooms.  You can still get the Disney Dining Plan but will need to pay for this.  The cost will vary for what plan you would like to purchase and it must be for everyone in the group for the entire length of stay.  He will need to call DVC Member Services at least 48 hours prior to your vacation to add the Dining Plan on.  I am so glad that you are staying at Old Key West with your brother as it is so much fun to travel and play at Walt Disney World with family!  Please let me know if I can help you with any other of your vacation plans, Lynn.  I know your vacation will be magical.
