Planning trip to WDW June 2010. Debate staying onsite VS offsite, but heard that if you stay offsite & WDW is full, those offsite can't get in, but you are guaranteed admission if staying onsite. Does this happen often--WDW being too full?

Hi Amy!  During peak holiday times some of the parks do close due to reaching guest capacity.  This is most often during Christmas. New Years, and 4th of July but can happen at any other time.

I do encourage guests staying at an on-site resort for many other reasons.  Although Disney has not announced any resort specials for June of 2010 as of yet you can keep watch for the latest at the Disney website, www.disneyworld.com.  You can often get reduced lodging rates at various resorts on property making your trip fit within your budget.  I also ask guests to consider the savings they will have by not having to rent a car for their trip.  You can use the complementary Magical Express transportation to and from the airport and then the Disney property buses, boats, and monorails to get to all points you need to go during your vacation at Walt Disney World.

As a resort guest you are also able to enjoy the Extra Magic Hours in the park when the crowds are thinner and the lines much smaller. In June you would enjoy the cooler temperatures of the evening or early morning in the parks which is very nice!  You can also obtain early dining reservations and can get the assistance of the Disney cast members to help you with every need.

I do understand budget restraints for many families but I encourage you to look at the value resorts and the specials that are often run to see if Disney isn't just as cost feasible with all the extras they can provide!
