Planning a trip to WDW in the future and trying to find out what transportation is available for ECVs from the Fort Wilderness RV area. I can't find any definitive answers to how I would travel from the RV park to WDW.

Hello, Edward! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, you’ll find Walt Disney World Resort Bus Stops located throughout the area. Each bus is clearly labeled with a digital sign on its front and side indicating the route(s) it takes. While you may have to transfer buses (depending on your final destination), most buses throughout Walt Disney World Resort are equipped to hold up to two ECVs or mobility devices. Ramps are stored on board each bus, so you’ll just need to let your driver know you’ll need one.

ECVs will also fit on the Walt Disney World Resort Monorails and on the large ferryboats that travel between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom Park. For the Monorail system, just let a Cast Member know you’ll need a ramp and they’ll be happy to help you board and exit the Monorail. The large ferryboats have ramps built in at both the front and back of each boat. (Please note that smaller watercraft (such as boats with direct routes from the Fort Wilderness area to Magic Kingdom Park) may not be able to accommodate ECVs.)

For additional information about Guests who require the use of an ECV, check out Walt Disney World Resort’s Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. You’ll also find specific Guide Maps for Guests with Disabilities at each of the Theme Parks and Water Parks. Additional information about Walt Disney World Resort’s Disability Access Service can also be found online.

Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you, Edward. We hope to see you real soon.
