We are planning a trip for WDW this fall and are questioning if the magical express would be good for us, two adults and two kids (5 and 2)... we will be staying at Bay Lake but are worried it will take a long time to actually get there on the bus system.

    Hi Samantha,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question. If you like traveling in luxury without the hassle, Disney’s Magical Express is the way to go.

Once you make your arrangements with Disney’s Magical Express by calling (407) 939-1936. They will need your flight information for everyone in your travel party. A week or so before your scheduled departure you will be sent your travel information along with a yellow luggage tag for each member of your travel party. You will tag your bags before checking your luggage at your point of departure. Be sure to pack your MagicBands in your carry-on bag. You will need them to unlock the door to your Resort Hotel room.

Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you will proceed to Disney’s Magical Express check-in. I have never had to wait to board the motorcoach to my resort. You may wait for a few minutes for other guests to board or the driver to assist them with stowing carry-on items under the bus. If your airline requires your children to fly in a car seat, the driver will be happy to assist you. Once you are underway, it’s usually about 40 minutes to the Walt Disney World Resort. Personally, I feel that you will save yourself the hassle of claiming your bags and waiting in line for a rental car or taxi.  Disney’s Magical Express allows you to let the magical vacation begin once you land making it by far the best and most magical way to travel.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
