We're planning a trip to WDW this coming October and are trying to decide between the villas at Saratoga Springs and the Old Key West. We'll be traveling with a 7 year old who LOVES the pool as well as a 1 year old. Any thoughts???

    Hi Lisa,

You do have a tough decision!  Both Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are lush, beautiful resorts in the Downtown Disney area of Walt Disney World.  You could choose between them based on theming.  Old Key West has a leisurely, tropical feel reminiscent of the Florida Keys of yesterday and today.  Saratoga Springs, by contrast, is an equestrian-themed resort set in late 1800s New York state.  If either of your kids love horses, then pick Saratoga Springs!  If a true taste of Florida is your desire, then Old Key West is your best option.

From a more practical perspective, you may want to choose your resort based on the floor plan of the rooms there.  Deluxe studios at Old Key West have two queen size beds, while the equivalent accommodations at Saratoga Springs have one queen size bed and one pull-out double bed.  If you have a preference between these two options, that might make your decision easier.

Whichever Disney resort you choose, I'll be sending extra pixie dust your way in the hopes that your family enjoys a truly magical vacation!
