Hello! We are planning our trip and wanted to see what character experiences will be entertaining for teens and preteens? We will have a couple younger toddlers as well.

    Hi Sarah!

Character meet-and-greets are fun for all ages. Get a photo, an autograph, or just a hug! Download the My Disney Experience Mobile App on your smartphone and use the app to find character locations and greeting times. I find that visits with “face characters” tend to offer the most interaction and can be a lot of fun for teens and older kids. Here are some ideas that both my teens and younger daughter enjoy:

    * After his breakfast of five dozen eggs, Gaston meets Guests in Fantasyland, and his larger than life ego is sure to entertain.
    * Also in Fantasyland you can meet Cinderella’s stepmother Lady Tremaine, and her stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella. These ladies are a hoot! You can also dine with them nightly, along with Cinderella and Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This is a great option that offers fun for both the older and younger kids in your party.
    * In Tomorrowland, my boys always want to meet Stitch, and who doesn’t love a hug from a zany blue alien?
    * At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, head on over to Star Wars Launch Bay where you’ll find everyone’s favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca!
    * Meet a couple of crazy rascals out to have some fun with Chip ’n' Dale in Dinoland at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, at their nightly Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney’s Fort Wilderness & Campground, or dine with them in Epcot at The Garden Grill. Chip ’n' Dale are a perfect choice as they give great hugs to little ones, but they also like to goof around with older kids.
*Often found at the Garden Grill is the boss man himself, Mickey Mouse! Mickey likes to greet as many Guests as he can and so he travels from park to park, meaning you can find him at all four theme parks on any given day, and no trip to Walt Disney World is complete without a hug from Mickey.

I hope some of these ideas sound like fun to your family too. Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
