I am planning a trip there soon and will be with a special needs child who can be very loud at times. Will the fancier resturants be accomidating?

    Hi Debbie!

Thank you so much for this question, as I do have personal experience with this. You will be delighted to know that Walt Disney World is the absolute BEST when it comes to accommodating guests with any special needs that they have.

You will find that all of the Walt Disney World parks and resorts will do everything they can to ensure your experience is magical. I definitely suggest getting a note from your doctor ahead of time explaining the special needs of your child. For example, do loud sounds bother him? Does he have special dietary needs? Make sure that's outlined in the note and you can show it to Guest Relations when you arrive to receive a Guest Assistance Card (GAC). You can show your GAC to a Cast Member to ensure they are aware of the special needs and will make accommodations.

For example, if you are dining at at WDW restaurant and you are worried about your child's noise level bothering other guets, inform the Cast Member and see if he/she can seat you in a location away from crowds, such as in a corner location, to ensure your child is in the best environment.

I also recommend checking out some of the great resources for parents visiting Walt Disney World with a child with special needs, such as www.diz-abled.com, allears.net and of course the WDW Moms Panel.

Thank you so much for your question. I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
