We are planning a trip in September (ds3 and dd4 years) and trying to decide which moderate to choose? We will probably take a break one day for a pool day and we will be in the room for afternoon naps.

Hi Caroline!  The Coronado Springs resort is the only moderate that has queen beds in each room. This gives this resort a thumbs up from many guests just for this reason alone.  The rooms have recently had a refurbishment and the one draw back is that it is indeed a convention resort with many groups in residence. These are more apt to be business groups however, and not the sports or cheerleading squads that usually head more to the value resorts.

If the beds alone do not matter then I suggest Port Orleans French Quarter.  It is located close to Downtown Disney and you can get there via a nice boat launch.  All of the moderates will have several pool areas with one main themed one that includes a slide and other features.  All are located approximately the same distance from the parks and will have bus transportation to and from each throughout the day.
