I am planning a trip for 16 people with the youngest being a 6 year old. We are coming in July and plan on 6 days in parks and staying at Copper Creek. Most are first time visitors. Can you give me advice on a park itinerary? Which parks each day?

    Hi Eric,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sending you pixie dust sprinkled with patience as you plan for a large group!

Since Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom have several incredibly popular attractions, I suggest that you save those for later in your trip so that you have a better chance of securing Fast Pass+ selections. We typically start with a non-park day by visiting Disney Springs. With our first day being a travel day, we like to relax on that very first day, unpack and get familiar with the resort hotel. Since you have several first time visitors in your group, I recommend that you start with Magic Kingdom (potentially on day two if day one is a relaxed day) and then do Epcot. Then, visit Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. We like to visit Magic Kingdom twice so you could return to Magic Kingdom or you could visit Disney's Hollywood Studios again after you have done all of the parks. Visiting a theme park more than once gives you multiple days to secure initial Fast Pass+ selections.

Prior to arrival, also, make sure that you have checked the height requirements for attractions using the attractions list so that you know which members of your party can experience which attractions. When planning for a multi-age group, I suggest that you divide folks into "riding groups" if height differences will prevent some folks from experiencing certain attractions. Then, when it is time to make Fast Pass+ selections, you can make appropriate selections for each "riding group." It also helps if each smaller group has its own group leader to make Fast Pass+ choices. They can then make changes or additions while in the parks!

Eric, most of all, I trust that you all will share many magical moments together. May your wishes come true in the New Year!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
