Mom and daughter on Expedition Everest

I am planning a trip with my parents and almost 3-year-old daughter. As a single mom, I'd love to have some 1-on-1 time with my daughter. I was considering a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table. Best choice for a 2-year-old? Or other ideas?

Hello, Candace! I'm a single mother also, as well as a fellow Hoosier! On many of our trips to Walt Disney World my mom comes along with us, but we end up separating for a big chunk of the day. She prefers to relax and take things slow while my son and I are on the go all day. We usually plan one Table Service meal a day and that is when we meet up with her. My son and I have so much fun together in the parks and I know that when he is older he look back on the memories we made.

I definitely think that your daughter will love Cinderella's Royal Table. Dining in Cinderella's Castle, the icon of the Magic Kingdom, is a dream for every little princess. She will also be able to meet several princesses during her meal, which will save you a lot of time in the parks if you planned on doing meet and greets. Remember that when you call to make reservations, the full amount is due upon booking. If you end up changing your mind, or if Cinderella's Royal Table out of your budget, I highly recommend Be Our Guest Restaurant. It is probably my favorite place to eat in all of Magic Kingdom, and it is not quite as expensive as Cinderella's Royal Table.

Here are a couple more ideas:

*Your daughter is just a little too young for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but you can still surprise her before your royal feast with a princess gown and she can wear it to your meal. You can also purchase Memory Maker and have a photo shoot in the parks!

*Have a caricature portrait or a framed silhouette done of the two of you. I had my son's silhouette done last August and it's probably my favorite souvenir of all time. We are getting the caricature on our next visit.

*Why not end the night with a 'bang'? The Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party is the perfect way to end your mommy-daughter date in the parks.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, please let us know. Have a magical mommy-daughter trip!
