We are planning a trip for Oct 2016 and was wondering how the credits work on the disney deluxe dining. For instance, does it only give you credits for the days you are in the parks or do I need to budget for check-in, check-out days?

    Hi Penny,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. If you’re a foodie like me, then you’re definitely picking the perfect time to visit Walt Disney World Resort: October means it’s time for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! I can’t think of a better way to spend your Deluxe Disney Dining Plan snack credits than at the various Global Marketplaces around World Showcase Lagoon.

The way all Disney Dining Plans work is that each Guest staying in a given Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is given a certain number of credits, per night of your stay. Because you’re immediately given all of your credits at check-in, you can use them at your leisure throughout your entire stay. That does mean, however, that you will need to “budget” in order to ensure that you have enough credits to take you through to your departure on your check-out day. I wouldn’t worry about it if you plan to purchase the 2016 Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. With 3 meals and 2 snack credits per night, I think that you’ll have PLENTY of credits to get you through to the end of your vacation!

If you want more information about how the Deluxe Dining Plan works, please don’t hesitate to click the link I provided above (directs you to a great pamphlet about the program) or please come back and see us with more questions. Talking about good food is almost as much fun for me as eating it!

    Have a Magical Day,
