We are planning a trip for November 21-29 2015. How will the crowds be from Saturday through Wednesday? I know Thanksgiving day will be bad was hoping we would have a few days before most of the crowds arrive. This will be our third visit.

    Hi Amanda,

I've spent Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World several times. It's a wonderful place to spend the holiday.

The weekend before Thanksgiving has historically had moderate crowd levels. Currently, the Crowd Calendar at the independent website is showing Nov 21-22, 2015 as a 5-6, on a scale of 1-10. The next few days are 8-9 level, and then the Wednesday before Thanksgiving jumps up to a 10, Thanksgiving Day is a 9, Friday is 10, and then the weekend after the holiday is 8 and then 5.

While that may sound intimidating, the only truly packed days will be the days before and after the holiday.

Even with heavy crowds, with a bit of planning you can still have an awesome time. Make sure to reserve meals and FastPass+ selections as early as possible. You may also want to have other scheduled activities on those days as well. For example, reserve parasailing at the Contemporary, or have a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeover. The more of your day that is scheduled and reserved, the less of your day will be spent waiting in line.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
