I am planning a trip for Nov. 2 of this year and Oct. of 2020, if I purchase an 8 day ticket in May this year for November and decide to convert it to a season pass upon entry of my first park, let’s say on November 3, when does my season pass expire? Thx

Hello Ronda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

With two Walt Disney World Resort trips in the works, upgrading your tickets to an Annual Pass is a smart idea. Not only will you have a full year of admission to 4 amazing Theme Parks, Annual Passholders are eligible for many perks and benefits, such as complimentary Theme Park parking, dining and merchandise discounts, and downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos.

If you decide to upgrade your current ticket to an Annual Pass before using a day for admission, the start date of your Annual Pass will be the date it is first activated at a Walt Disney World ticket window or Guest Relations. You will then have a full year from that date to enjoy using your Annual Pass. If you upgrade after using your ticket to enter a Theme Park, the start date of your Annual Pass will be the date you first used your ticket for admission. Any upgrades must be done while valid admission still remains on the ticket.

Either way, if you upgrade your current ticket to an Annual Pass during your November 2019 visit, it will be valid for your October 2020 visit as well.

Please come back to the Moms Panel again if you have additional questions. We are always happy to help.

Be forewarned: as an Annual Passholder, you may find all kinds of reasons to plan additional visits. Enjoy your magical vacations!
