    Deanna Asked

Planning a trip for next year to WDW. We want mild weather and low crowds. Would you choose mid March or Mid Nov? Nov seems so much longer to wait. But we could also enjoy the Christmas decorations. Myself, two 12 year olds and a 11 year old.

    Hi Deanna,

I know how difficult it is to wait for your next trip to Walt Disney World, believe me. But if you're looking for low crowds, then you should absolutely wait until November. All of March is spring break season. The independent website TouringPlans.com is predicting that March will be all 9s and 10s (on a scale of 1-10) for crowd level. Contrast this with mid November when the crowd level is in the 2-4 range.

I've been several times in November and found the weather to be quite pleasant for touring. The oppressive heat is gone, but it's not cold like it might be in the winter.

And as you mentioned, the holiday happenings start in November. During the middle of the month, you'll have the opportunity to try Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and see many of the gorgeous decorations.  So, I clearly vote for November over March.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
