Planning a trip for next year , how realistically is it for us to fully enjoy both parks in a week . Debating wether to get a 3 or 4 day pass. Also can we leave the park and go back at night without paying just like in Disney world?

    Hello Elizabeth!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you are having a magical week.

I always say, the more the merrier, so I often purchase park tickets for as many days as possible! In reality though, one day per park with an extra day to revisit some of your favorite attractions is often a good amount of time for families at Disneyland Resort.

I love to start my trip with Disneyland Park, walk down Main Street U.S.A. and see the iconic Sleeping Beauty’s Castle before then picking which attractions to see first. Pirates of the Caribbean and Mad Tea Party are two I can’t miss.

Over at Disney California Adventure Park my first stop is Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land. I with either grab a FASTPASS for the attraction, or brave the queue and watch the cars zoom by. We then usually head over to Toy Story Midway Mania! and Soarin’ Over California, as they are our other “must do” attractions.

You can most definitely come and go in and out of the parks at your leisure at Disneyland Resort. Sometimes my youngest needs a quick break or a nap so we will leave midday and come back in the afternoon recharged and ready for more fun!

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
