I am planning a trip next month- HELP! We are looking for a moderate value resort that sleeps six (2 adults and 4 children, ages 4-9). The pool area is a must! Can you recommend any hotels that are both kid and budget friendly?

    Hi Amy,
I can think of two resorts that might work well for both your family and budget.  The first is the Cabins at  Fort Wilderness Campground.  This is one of my family's favorites.  It's location as a Magic Kingdom Resort makes it a great choice for families with small children, as the gates to the park are only a short boat ride away.  The cabins sleep 6, feature a master bedroom with a double bed and bunks, and a living room with a "Murphy-style" bed that pulls down and sleeps two.  In addition, the cabins have a full kitchen with a stove, dishwasher and full-sized refrigerator.  By stocking your kitchen with a few staples, you'll likely be able to save some money on food in the parks.  Each cabin also has a deck with its own barbecue.  The resort has a pool, buffet-style restaurant and is home to two of the most popular dinner shows at Disney, The Hoop-de-do Review and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.  In addition, there are special events often scheduled such as camp fire sing alongs and horse-drawn carriage rides.
The second resort that came to mind is in the Value Category.  I know you asked about moderate resorts, but I recently had the opportunity to see the new Family Suites at the All Star Music Resort.  I was extremely impressed.  These suites also sleep up to six, and feature two full baths (heaven, as far as I'm concerned!) a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, and a living room with a pull out sofa and sleeper chair.  The pool area at this resort impressed me as well.  It was huge, and well-themed.
If my selections don't strike your fancy, or you would like to see other options for parties of six, please click HERE to go to Disney's web page for larger accommodations, including Deluxe Villas in the Vacation Club properties.
    Have a great trip!
