We're planning a trip with our new baby. Due to work schedules, the only times we would be able to go would be the last week in August or Christmas vacation week. I would prefer to go in Aug, but I'm concerned about the heat and humidity. Any suggestions?

    Hi Andrea!

Congratulations on the new baby! I took my daughter to the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time when she was 17 days old! People thought I was crazy but what can I say, I am a huge Disney fan! I would recommend the last week in August because the crowds will be smaller in comparison to Christmas. I have been there during both and let me tell you that during Christmas it was so packed with people that Magic Kingdom closed due to capacity. While the last week of August is hot and humid, the crowds are smaller because the local kids are back in school. As for the temperatures, what I used to do was dress my baby in a onesie and I would attach a clip-on fan to the stroller. (They also sell these at the Disney parks). I would also bring a little washcloth and freshen her up in the restroom. The baby sunscreen is also a must! Keep in mind that there are plenty of shaded areas and covered attractions through out the parks. If it was too hot, I would head back to the Disney resort, freshen up and return to the parks around 5:00 p.m., when the sun was setting, as it would be cooler.
