We are planning a trip from 08/28-09/07. My mom will be with us and is very heat sensitive. What time of day do you think she shouild plan for inside activities to avoid the extreme heat? Could you send some suggestions for things to do out of the heat?

    Hi Kim!

The heat and humidity can be quite brutal in Florida.  I would absolutely suggest that you hit the parks early, enjoy a nice, long lunch, and then head to your resort for pool time, or Disney Quest, or Splitsville.  You could even spend time shopping at Downtown Disney at World of Disney.  If she can tolerate it, you can also reserve a cabana.

The heat tends to seem most daunting to me around 1 until about 6 pm.

Also, make sure you stay well hydrated, and most of all, have fun

    Have a magical vacation!
