Planning trip Mid Feb, 2020 4 adults 2 children 6 & 4 staying at Arts of Animation Family Suite. Should we have any really issues with President week & the Princess Half Marathon

    Hi again Howard,

It’s wonderful to see you again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

If I understand your question correctly, you’re wondering about the impact that the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend and President’s Day weekend will have on your visit to Walt Disney World Resort next February.

I’ve visited during both of those weekends and have even participated in the half-marathon for the past two years. Based on my experience, crowd levels are a bit higher during those weekends, especially as compared to other hon-hon-holiday or non-event weekends. That being said, the crowd levels are nowhere near the Holiday or even mid-Summer months. I always find that a perception that something is crowded (or not) varies greatly from person to person. If you go in with a solid plan, one that includes making your Disney dining reservations and FastPass+ selections before your arrival, you visit should be every bit as Magical as any time of year… and perhaps even more so, if the Epcot International Festival of the Arts returns in 2020! It has quickly become my favourite of all of Epcot’s festivals.

I hope my answer helps you plan a wonderful stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort next year. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
