We are planning a trip in May for my youngest daughters 4th birthday. Our oldest child who will be 7 at the time of our visit has ADHD and can't stay still very long and tends to get overwhelmed and have outbursts. Would she qualify for a DAS card?

    Hi there, Aliciana!

I’m glad to hear you are planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth for your princess’s birthday! Both of your daughters are sure to have a wonderful time making memories with you.

The Disability Access Service (DAS) system is designed to accommodate Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue due to a disability (including cognitive disabilities and other non-apparent disabilities) by allowing them to receive a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. If this sounds like something that could benefit your family, visit Guest Relations to speak with a Cast Member about your daughter's specific needs, as DAS accommodations are decided on a case-by-case basis.

You are also welcome to use Disney FASTPASS to maximize your time in the parks. To obtain a FASTPASS, visit the distribution area for each attraction offering this service. Insert your valid admission ticket into the FASTPASS machine to obtain a return time. If you purchase Disney MaxPass, you’ll be able to make Disney FASTPASS selections from your mobile device with the Disneyland app once you enter the theme parks! You’d also get unlimited Disney PhotoPass photo downloads each day you utilize Disney MaxPass, which makes it an even better value.

If your daughter becomes over-stimulated or needs some downtime while exploring Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, several quieter locations are available throughout the resort where she can take a moment to regroup. To find the break area nearest you, ask a Cast Member. A few great options are First Aid in both theme parks and the World of Color viewing area in Disney California Adventure Park.

I hope this helps you plan, Aliciana. Please send us more questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
