    Lorrie Asked

We are planning a trip in Jun 2012 and need to book soon. We are a family of 5. Can anyone tell me about how much the trip is going to cost? Airfare, hotel, 5 day park-hopper pass, quick service dining. I am just trying to budget. Any info will help.

    Hello, Lorrie!

You have lots of options from which to chose for your upcoming vacation, but I realize, too, that time is of the essence, so I'm going to give you some shortcuts!

First of all, I can't see the state from which you're writing, so I can't tell you specifics about airfare.  I CAN tell you, however, that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are usually the least expensive days on which to fly--my husband is a frequent flyer--so first check the airlines which leave from your airport and go to MCO (Orlando) to determine how much of your budget will be taken up by airline tickets.

Regarding your accommodations?  ABSOLUTELY go to Walt Disney World.com to add your specific family information, travel dates, etc., to find out what your options are.  Just to give you a rough idea, Packages I found are as follows, for travel from June 17th through June 23rd: a Value Resort Family Suite at All-Star Music runs $3,692, including 5 day Park Hopper Passes. If you add the Quick Service Dining Plan, the total cost for that package is $4,742. This includes a queen-size bed, a living room with a double sleeper sofa and two twin-size sleeper chairs--my 10-year old son always sleeps on those, so they are roomy!  These suites also include a mini-kitchen.

A Moderate Resort Cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, for example, with room for 6 and a fully-equipped kitchen is $3,953, also including 5 day Park Hopper Passes. To add the Quick Service Dining Plan to this option, the total cost is $5,002.

These are just two examples of what's available for you, using the search engine listed on the link above.

Whatever you choose, please send us your additional questions, as we really LOVE to help folks experience the magic of Walt Disney World in a way that best fits your families!
