    Makenzie from TX Asked

We are planning our 1st trip as a family of 8!!! We have a 3, 4, 8, 10, 15, 25 year olds! Plus my husband & I. I need any and all tips for making a smooth visit. 7 days at Fort wilderness villa

    Hi Makenzie,

Whether you are staying at Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you are in for a treat. These resorts themed to the rustic Pacific Northwest are lovely. Let me offer you some suggestions for planning a successful trip for your family.

First, and especially since you have a larger traveling party, I recommend that you set up both your Walt Disney World dining reservations and your Disney FastPass+ selections as soon as you are able. This will ensure that you are able to dine when and where you want to, as well as experience some attractions with shorter wait times. As a guest at a Walt Disney World resort, you will be able to make your dining reservations 180 days ahead of your check-in date for the length of your stay, up to 10 days. You will be able to make your Disney FastPass+ selections 60 days ahead of your check-in date.

As you are making these reservations and selections, since you have a larger group spread out in age, I suggest that you consider splitting up the group for part of your days. What appeals to the littlest guests in your group may not appeal to the young adults or teenagers. Little ones also may need to head back to the resort to rest midday. I suggest that you start your day with an attraction or two together, and then split up for the middle of the day. You can come back together in the evening for a big family meal.

I would love to help you plan further Makenzie; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
