We are planning a trip for Fall 2015 with our 1 year old grandson (so no he is not born yet). It will be the 4 in my family plus the baby. I am trying to decide the best place to stay to make it as easy as possible with the baby. Any suggestions?

    Hi Helen!

I think you are wonderful for planning your grandson's first Walt Disney World trip prior to his birth. The memories you are going to make with your family will be unforgettable.

All of the Resort Hotels at Walt Disney World are baby friendly. The Deluxe Resort Hotels have the most amenities and generally are situated very close to the theme parks. The Moderate and Value Resort Hotels have fewer amenities, but definitely no less magic. If a Deluxe Resort Hotel is in your budget then I recommend The Polynesian. This Deluxe Resort Hotel is located on the monorail which makes traveling to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot a breeze. If your grandson is in a stroller you won't have to take him out, just roll on and roll off.

If a Moderate Resort Hotel is in your budget then I recommend Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter. These beautiful resorts are elaborately themed and have beautiful walking paths strewn with Spanish Moss covered trees. If you choose Port Orleans Riverside I recommend selecting a preferred room which is closer to the main buildings and bus depot. The French Quarter is intimate enough that every room is situated close to the main area.

If a Value Resort is in your budget then I recommend either Pop Century or Art of Animation.  Art of Animation is the newest and not only has standard rooms but also has family suites which sleep 6 and have a small kitchenette. The family suites are approximately the size of two standard value rooms and also cost about as much as two rooms. For a family consisting of 2 adults and their children, a family suite is perfect. However I do find that 4 adults may be less comfortable in a family suite due to the bed configuration and may enjoy 2 rooms more.

Please let us know if you have any further questions. We love to help!
