Planning a trip for either September or October 2018 and are wondering about water parks. Will the weather still be good? Will both water parks be open that time of year?

    Dear Kimberly,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about planning your 2018 Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I would absolutely recommend the fall months that you are thinking of as a beautiful time of year in the Orlando area. The temperatures can still be quite high, but the humidity is lower and sometimes you will get a cool evening or two as well. The only aspect of the weather at that time of year to be concerned about is that it is hurricane season, so for that reason I would definitely recommend travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. Honestly though, October is a gorgeous time to visit and to enjoy all of the Halloween decorations and festivities that are ongoing at that time too!

Typically, both water parks are still open at that time of year as well. I have not heard about any closures for refurbishment yet, but you would want to check as your dates get closer.

Hope that helps with your magical vacation planning!
