We're planning a trip during Christmas time. Our children are ages 3 and 13 (boy/girl), I'm wondering if any moms out there have suggestions for planning out days that won't bore the 13 y/o while trying to entertain the 3 y/o or vice versa.

    Hi Alex,

A Christmas vacation to Walt at Disney World Resort sounds absolutely magical! I hope you are having a wonderful time planning such a festive visit.

My oldest is 7 years older than my little one, so I can definitely relate to the stress in planning for both of them. Fortunately, Disney makes it pretty simple and we find plenty of experiences to keep them both busy. We usually pick a FastPass+ attraction that they will enjoy together and one that each of them will enjoy. Our oldest will entertain his little brother and accompany him on attractions appropriate for him, and for the more thrilling rides, be sure to use Disney's Rider Switch service. It is a great  way to experience the rides together without waiting in line twice. I also suggest a Character Dining Experience to get those precious Disney photos you'll cherish years after your magical trip. My oldest hates waiting in line for characters now and our little ones often get shy, so this keeps everyone happy, including me.

Please let me know if you need any other recommendations or suggestions. Have a truly incredible vacation, Alex.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
