We are planning a trip to Disneyland with kids ages 4, 2 and 1. We plan to go to the parks for 4 days. Should we opt for Parkhopper passes all 4 days, or perhaps just 1 or 2 of the 4 days?

    Hi, Laura!

Welcome to the Disneyland Resort! You and your Mouseketeers are in for a magical vacation.

When purchasing your 4 day park hopper tickets, you can choose a regular ticket or upgrade to a Park Hopper Ticket. When upgrading to the Park Hopper, it will be for all 4 days of your ticket (you cannot upgrade for just a few of the days). Adding the Park Hopper option to a 4 day ticket is approximately an additional $45 (plus tax, subject to change). This will really give you a lot of flexibility to hop between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. With the 2 parks within walking distance of each other, hopping is super easy!

Ready for some really good news? Your kids who under the age of 3 do not need park tickets! Your 4 year old will need a valid park admission ticket, but there is a discount for kids age 3-9. Savings everywhere!

I find the upgrade cost to the Park Hopper option to be worth it. This will allow you to start your day in one park, and after a nice mid-day rest back at your resort, you can return to either theme park. You will also be able to switch parks if you have a dining reservation or just want to pop in for some nighttime fun!

If you have not yet booked your hotel reservations, you may want to explore the 3 beautiful hotels at the Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland Hotel is my favorite with spacious rooms and a monorail themed water slides and fun pool area. All of the Disneyland Resort hotels are within walking distance to the theme parks.

Have fun planning your vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
