We are planning a trip to Disneyland, what are some important tips for a family who has never been there?

    Hi there Diane,

This is a GREAT question and honestly, I have so many tips for first-timers... I could probably write a novel! The suggestions I provide usually change depending on the dynamics of each individual vacation and since I don't know your party size, travel dates, ages of children, etc.  I'm gonna list my top general tips!

-Always arrive at the parks EARLY... before opening if possible!

-Take advantage of Magic Morning if you are a Disneyland Hotel guest!  This will allow you entry into a theme park an hour before the public!

-Wear comfy shoes... This is a MUST and can make or break your day!

-Stay at a Disneyland Hotel for the utmost in convenience and an unparalleled level of service

-Make your dining reservations is advance.  Browse Disneyland Dining options and reserve your spot by calling (714)781-DINE!

-Have a plan.  Familiarize yourself with the parks and create a "must do" list for your family ahead of time

-Take advantage of FASTPASS to maximize your time

-Schedule a "chill day" to just relax and enjoy the pools or explore Downtown Disney

-Slow down and take the time to enjoy all of the fine details.  It's not all about the rides!

I am happy to provide lots of tips and tricks, so please don't hesitate to write back if I can continue helping you plan this magical adventure!
