I am planning a trip to Disneyland. What are the crowd levels like the week of Easter? Thank you.

Welcome, Carolyn, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It sounds like you are planning a trip for next spring, so a big high-five for planning early! Advanced planning can really make a difference, in my opinion, between a good trip and a great trip. Historically, the week of Easter has seen pretty heavy crowds, especially because it can coincide with spring break schedules for many school districts. However, I visited this year the week of Easter and I did not find the crowd levels to be overwhelming. It was busy, but using the below tried and true strategies, we managed the crowds well and had a magnificent time!

    1. Start your days early and take advantage of any early admission options available to you. If you stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you have Extra Magic Hour every day of your stay including exclusive access to Disney California Adventure Park one hour early on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

    2. Make use of the FASTPASS system or purchase Disney MaxPass which will make touring the parks extremely efficient. I used Disney MaxPass a week or so ago and it was astonishing how many attractions I rode in a short period of time.

    3. Make a few dining reservations in advance so you can enjoy some relaxing table service meals during your trip.

    4. Plan to take breaks in the afternoons when the crowds tend to swell. After lunch is a great time to head back to the hotel for a nap or to visit the pool. Then you will be refreshed when you hit the parks later for some nighttime fun.

I hope this helps! Please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
