we are planning our 1st trip to Disney(for all of us). I am completely overwhelmed by trying to figure out how to plan this is an understatement! IDK where to start. We have where we are staying figured out.we will be about 5 mins away.my son is 9. help!

    Nicole,

Don't stress!  The Disney Parks Moms Panel is here to help!

The first thing I do when planning my trips is check out “crowd calendars” to get a better idea on which parks are best to visit on which day.  My preferred calendar is easywdw.com which provides great information and is absolutely free.  This is not an official Disney site, but I find it to be a great tool.

Your next step should be FastPass+.  Making your FastPass+ selections is a quick and easy process, and a great way to secure some of your favorite attractions.  Your FastPass+ selections can be made 30 days in advance of each day of your visit with valid park admission.  Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests can make their selections 60 days in advance.  Some of the most popular attractions include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom park, Test Track Presented by Chevrolet and Soarin at Epcot, Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Kilimanjaro Safaris and DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom park.

Finally, a scheduled sit-down meal is a must-do for my family for each day of our stay and Walt Disney World Resort offers tons of great restaurants and character dining experiences.  Reservations usually open 180 days prior to your arrival and can be done online or by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE.  For a fun meal, I highly recommend 'Ohana for breakfast.

I wish I could write more but unfortunately there’s not enough space.  I hope this helps you get started in your planning and if I can help you with anything else, please let me know.
    Happy planning!
