We are planning a trip to Disney World and will be travelling with our 6 kids and we have a daughter in a wheel chair. When is a good time to visit that the park is less busy.

    Hi Tonya,

I'm super excited for your family to be able to enjoy the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I, too, have a large family and one thing that I really love about our Disney vacations is that our entire family is able to enjoy the experience together.

While the most popular times to visit are during school breaks and around holidays, you'll generally find that weekdays and months without long school breaks like February, September, and early December are the least crowded times of year to visit. There are several crowd calendars online where people try to predict what crowd levels will be like each day, and while they can be helpful to give you a general idea, in my opinion, it's more important to visit with a good plan than it is to choose the least crowded day of the year.

I'd suggest trying to become as familiar with Walt Disney World as you can before you arrive. There are some great planning videos you could watch, and of course you're always welcome to read along here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and ask questions as you have them to help you learn all about the ins and outs of planning a magical Disney vacation. Also, since your princess has a wheelchair, you may want to read about some of the great services available for her. While some attractions will have a separate queue for Guests with wheelchairs, I'd also encourage you to take advantage of the complimentary FastPass+ service. It's a wonderful time-saver! Lastly, whenever you decide to visit, I'd encourage you to arrive early to the theme parks to take advantage of the least crowded time of the day.

Thanks so much for visiting us, Tonya, and I hope that you and your Mouseketeers have a truly magical vacation!
