I am planning a trip to Disney World Thanksgiving week. I would like to know what days are historically the least crowded during this time? I am most interested in the Magic Kingdom. Thank You!

    Hi Chandra,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

My guess is that you are asking your question because you know that the week of Thanksgiving will be a very popular week for guests to visit Walt Disney World. Generally, when children are out of school and adults have time off from work, those tend to be popular times of year to visit Walt Disney World. If you are interested in seeing predicted levels of guests in theme parks, I like the unofficial site Touring Plans at touringplans.com. You can see some of their analysis for free, and others for an annual fee.

I suggest that you go into your vacation with the expectation that the whole week will be quite busy at Walt Disney World. My guess is that earlier in the week of Thanksgiving, the Sunday or Monday before Thanksgiving, may see fewer guests at the theme parks, but there will still be many. Let me offer you some of my tips for days with more guests at Walt Disney World.

Be sure that you have made some Disney FastPass+ selections before you leave home. These will allow you to experience some attractions each day with shorter wait times. I like to make these for the morning, because once you have used the three Disney FastPass+ selections that you make from home, you can make a fourth selection, and after using that one a fifth, and so on and so forth for the rest of the day depending on availability. I also recommend getting to the theme park as early as you can, even 30 minutes or so ahead of opening time. Even during busy times of year, many guests like to sleep in, and therefore in the early morning hours you can often experience the theme park with fewer other guests.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Chandra! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
