Planning a trip to Disney World this summer. Thinking about either going around our anniversary (third week of July) or our son's birthday (second week of August). Would there be much of a difference between those two times in terms of crowds?

    Hi Courtney!

I believe that there is no bad time to go to Walt Disney World! You will not have too much of a difference between the third week in July and the second week of August as far as crowd levels. The second week of August may be a little less crowded because typically the third and fourth week of August is a slower time as far as crowds are concerned.  Most schools and colleges are starting up at the end of August in most States, so lines for rides tend to be shorter. For any weeks in July and August, the weather usually is hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 80 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. You will need to have a strategy to stay out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day like dinning inside for lunch or picking inside rides or attractions that have air conditioning to experience during the middle of the day. There usually is a short lasting afternoon thunderstorm everyday, so pack umbrellas or rain ponchos for your vacation.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical!
