Mom And Daughter Resort Room

We are planning a trip to Disney World in 10/12 and want to stay at Coronado Springs . I under stand it is the moderate resort that is a convention center if so is there any way to tell when there is a convention scheduled? Is a preffered room advised?

Hi Henry!  I asked once about the convention schedule at this resort and they said they could not as it does change with add ons constantly. I understand during these economic times that companies have had to cut back and thus cancel things and Disney chooses not to publicize who might be coming.

But as I tell guests I love Coronado Springs for the reason it is a convention resort. I have stayed there and the common areas during the day are very quiet. The business convention guests are all in meetings or organized functions and the convention center is off away from the main resort area so you don't see them. This means that many things such as the food court and the pools are far less crowded then other resorts of the same value.

The preferred rooms will give you a bit closer proximity to the main building and the main bus area. There is an internal bus system used here as the resort wraps around a small lake. Preferred rooms are close enough so you won't have to use the internal bus. I do find it worth the extra dollars.
