We are planning our very 1st trip to Disney World (possibly only) and would like it to be top of the charts for teens!! What would be the very best hotel for teens (pool slides, food, closest to parks)?

    Stacey:

It's a tough choice but I've narrowed it down to two resorts: the Polynesian and the Beach Club.

The Polynesian's exotic theming, monorail to the Magic Kingdom & Epcot tend to put it tops on most anyone's list, but the views of the Magic Kingdom and its fireworks from the beach and along with the erupting volcano at the pool and variety of restaurants like OHana's family-style, all-you-can-eat fare make it stand out.

Beach Club would probably be my first choice, though. It's a 5-minute walk from the back gate of Epcot and a 15-minute trek from Disney's Hollywood Studios. But its pool facility, with sandy pool bottoms, a long slide with crow's nest, view and proximity to the Boardwalk that I think it make it a winner for your teens. All of Epcot's restaurants in the World Showcase are just minutes away, and a trip to Beaches and Cream for The Kitchen Sink (an ice cream sundae that includes everything but the, well, kitchen sink) adds the memory-making, dining moment! If your kids love crab legs, try Cape May Cafe's buffet!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
