I am planning a trip to Disney World in mid-March 2020 (a little last minute). Wondering where the best place would be to start planning since its only a month away? I also looked into a Disney Villain Night and was wondering if you had any tips on that?

    Hi there Sarah!

Thank you so much for bringing your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! In my family, it's become a funny habit for us to just grab and go! My most favorite memory was taking my dad out for a Father’s Day breakfast and mid breakfast we looked around the table and said, “Let’s go to Disney!”. To this day we laugh at how spontaneous that was, but even without months of planning, it was such a Magical trip!

The best place to start in my opinion, is with where you’re staying. Think about location, your favorite place to stay at, or maybe even trying a new resort. During our last minute stays, we usually stay at a Value Resort Hotel. We love that those resorts are sprinkled with just enough Pixie Dust to make us feel like we’ve never even left the parks. Next, we decide what parks we will be visiting and which ticket option works best for us. If you have the time, I recommend at least one park per day! However, if you are unable to stay that long, I suggest picking your top must-do attractions and using that list to determine which park or parks you want to visit! Don’t forget, after you’ve selected which park to visit and have your park admission linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can start making your FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your arrival, as a Disney Resort Hotel Guest!

I love attending Disney After Hours, those nights are filled with an extra dash of Pixie Dust. Well in your case, your evening will take you for a walk on the vile side! Admission to Disney Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park allows you to experience the park for an additional 3 hours after regular park hours and includes admission to the park as early as 7:00 p.m.. Since the event is a nighttime event, we usually take event days a little slower. I love sleeping in a little on these days and enjoying an early dinner or late lunch at a Character Dining Restaurant. If we don’t do that, we will usually lounge around the pool at our Disney Resort Hotel and squeeze in a nap before heading to the event. This allows us to have enough energy to enjoy this nighttime event from start to finish! Make sure to purchase your Special Event Tickets as soon as possible!

I hope this helps with getting your planning started! I just know that no matter what you choose to do, your visit will be the perfect combination of Wicked and Magical!

    See ya real soon!
