We are planning a trip to Disney World in Jan. Our kids will be 1,1 (twins), 4, & 8. I was thinking about only doing 2 days at the park. Of course that would enclude the Magic Kingdom but I can't decide between Studio or Animal Park for the other.

    Hi Brandy,

Oh, that is a difficult decision!  Both Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios offer very exciting attractions for young children.  But here is how I'd make my decision:

If your kids love stage shows or have a particular enthusiasm for wildlife, then I'd take your family to Disney's Animal Kingdom.  There are three very worthwhile performances there - Festival of the Lion King, Flights of Wonder, and Finding Nemo - The Musical.  Also, there are countless opportunities to visit beautiful exotic creatures throughout the park.

Otherwise, I'd plan to spend your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Your little ones will love Disney Junior - Live on Stage!  You may also want to consider booking breakfast or lunch at Hollywood & Vine.  That's where you can dine with the stars of Disney Junior.  (Advance dining reservations are recommended).  Toy Story Mania is an attraction not to be missed and the mid-day parade is really cute.  If your 8-year-old is at all intrigued by thrill rides, then this is the park for him or her.  And you'll want to be sure to end your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios by viewing Fantasmic!

Let us know if you need any additional information to help you make your decision.

Have fun planning your magical January adventure.
