We are planning a trip to Disney world at the beginning of next year. My youngest has a genetic disorder and hypoglycemia. She has to eat every hour and a half at minimum and gets tired easily. Are there any passes for special needs? She’s 5

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Natalie! Thank you for bringing us your question about your visit to Walt Disney World Resort next year!

I imagine you must be concerned about wait times for your daughter. Disney has created a Disability Access Service (DAS) Card, a tool designed to accommodate guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue environment due to a disability or medical condition. It offers guests a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. If your daughter qualifies for this service, she and her party will all be eligible to receive a return time for another attraction once she finishes her first attraction, and so on. The best thing is that this service can be used in addition to the FastPass+ service.

Natalie, the first thing you'll have to do is go to the Guest Relations Office at one of the main four theme parks , Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Once inside, request to speak to a Cast Member for them to determine eligibility for this program. They will ask you to describe your daughter's condition; maybe bringing a note from her doctor would be useful when explaining her condition. If she qualifies for this program, the card will be issued and she may begin to use it.

Your daughter will be just fine. Your vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort will be one to remember. I wish you a memorable trip!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
