I am planning a trip to Disney Orlando for September 2017.Travelling with 2 boys (8 and 10) and my parents.Interested in the All Star Music Resort. This will be our first time.I don't want to miss out on any "extras" if I can help it?

    Hi Melissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Master Yoda impressed he is that your boys will be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort! He senses that the Force is strong with the new recruits.

One of the "extras" my family loves is Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. Young recruits learn to use the Force to maintain peace in the galaxy. To sign-up, you will need to get to Disney's Hollywood Studios with the boys before the park opens. Once the park opens, head straight to the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost to sign-up. The boys will need to be with you. A Cast Member will give you a return time and show time. Return time is typically about 30 minutes prior to show time.

If you can, book an early dining reservation in the park prior to park opening. Doing so will get you into the park before the crowds arrive. On our last visit, we were able to sign up just before our dining reservation at 8:45 a.m. Be advised, in a prior year, we arrived at 9:30 a.m. and all of the time slots were filled. As of this time, there are no Fast Passes for this adventure. You can only sign-up on the day of the show. Be sure to check out the other Attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Your boys might also like Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. It will test their super sleuth skills while your family is in Epcot. For more possibilities, review the Planning Guide for Older Kids, Tweens, and Teens.

May the Force Be With You!
