Planning a trip to Disney in October 2014. It will be myself, my husband and our daughter (2 year old). Can you share your tips, tricks and suggestions for a group like this. Thanks a lot!!!!

    Hello there Jessica,

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel. I bet your are so excited to bring your little princess to such a magical place, and we are excited for you!

When we brought our own little princess to Walt Disney World at the tender age of 2, we made sure to follow a few tips that we received from other Disney World obsessed families, and tips we knew on our own.

    - Down time is the best time. We made a point of spending extra time at our resort. Whether it's half a day or a whole day, allot some time for you and your family to explore your resort and just relax. It will help your little princess not feel rushed throughout the vacation.

    - Make Advanced Dining Reservations. It's always great to have a plan for meals when it comes to pre-schoolers. At Walt Disney World, reservations book up quickly, so you'll want to make yours immediately. Be sure to make reservation times around the same breakfast, lunch or dinner times you are accustomed to at home. Again, this will let your daughter feel more relaxed and happy. It will also help to keep her routine for when you return home.

    - Plan your attractions ahead of time, but be leisurely. During our magical vacation with our then 2 year old, we planned to experience 3 attractions, at most, per park. That may seem low, but there are so many other experiences within each park for preschoolers. You want to keep your options open as much as possible. For some extra help on which attractions to choose, take a look at this special page on the Walt Disney World website: Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones.

I hope this information helps you, Jessica. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
